Go with the Flo

Go with the Flo is a sideways knit crescent formed with garter stitch, stockinette, ridged stockinette on the right and left side of a center lace panel and edged with a mock i-cord stitch that provides a neat, polished edge.

Yarn

This pattern can be customized to use almost any commercially available or handspun yarn. Recommend a minimum of:

  • 600 yards (550 meters) or 150 grams of fingering weight
  • 350 yards (320 meters) or 135 grams of DK weight
  • 400 yards (366 meters) or 185 grams of worsted weight

Gauge

Gauge for this project is not critical. You will need a scale to weigh your yarn before starting and while working on this project. Reserve approximately 40% of yarn for the right side, 15% for the center and 40% for the left side.

Fingering Weight sample: 22 stitches & 24 rows over 4 inches (10 cm) in stockinette

 

Finished Size

Your shawl’s finished size will depend on the yarn weight, gauge and number of repeats you choose.
Fingering Weight sample:  89.5 in. (227.3 cm) wide | 14 inches (35.6 cm) deep at center lace
