Thumper Hat

Thumper Hat by Jennifer Lassonde

The Thumper Hat is a worsted weight slouchy hat with a diamond lace pattern. After working the ribbing, you’ll add some stitches that help add to the delicate slouchy look of the design. Perfect for a late season baseball game, an afternoon walk in the crisp autumn air or even a winter night out on the town!

Many of my designs are inspired by people, places, and landmarks close to my heart; the Thumper Hat follows suit. The diamond pattern featured in this hat is inspired by my favorite baseball diamond—Fenway Park—and the hometown player who ran it most—Ted Williams. Williams (also known as Teddy Ballgame, The Kid, and Thumper) scored 521 homers in his career and is still revered by Bostonian sports fans some 60 years later!
