Sock Yarn Blanket

  • Yarn: leftover fingering weight yarn from sock
  • Hook Size: D 3.0mm
  • Pattern: double crochet granny square
  • Pattern: Argent by Hunter Hammersen
  • Needles: US 6-  4mm needles
  • Yarn: Frog Tree Pediboo (sport) color 1130 Jade image

Colorful Cowl

  • Yarn: Mirasol Tuhu- DK weight yarn, 50% Llama, 40% Merino, 10% Angora in gray, aquamarine, chartreuse, cream, hot pink and tangerine
  • Needles: US 5
  • Provisionally cast on 60 stitches, knitting in the round. Will make a very long tube that kitchener together to make a long infinity cowl.image
  • Yarn: RAF: Fraternal Twin Brother to RBF- Self striping colorway from Kirby Wirby. 75% Superwash BFL, 25% nylon
  • Needles: US 1.5

Maryland Socks

  • Yarn: Socks that Rock Lightweight in the Pitter Pat Colorway (hot pink, hot orange, hot purple, watermelon/strawberry pink, electric blue and a tealy green.

Brainstorming

  • Purple baby hat for Kiley (MiniPurlGirl) on Ravelry who is collecting purple baby hats as part of her senior project to raise awareness for Shaken Baby Syndrome, the Period of Purple Crying and Accidental Infant Death. If you’re interested, check out Kiley’s Ravelry profile for details on where to send hats by the end of May. She is offering a  A skein of purple Wollmeise will be randomly given to one donator. Knitting in Passing 

A nice lady, whose name I later learned is Sue, asked on the train one afternoon if I was knitting a Curl! [She was correct] Now that’s a first! 

On a Happy Note

  • Getting back into habit of cooking & running.
  • Planning a weekend away with Dan to Portland, Maine. 
  • The joy in seeing Aila open the doll I knit for her birthday. She told Emelyn “I asked for one and she made it for me!!!”image image
  • The snow is gone and it’s finally getting warm here.
  • Mother’s day is coming up Sunday. Happy Mother’s Say to all of you moms and grandmothers out there.

    I enjoyed your show while I was camping in the Smokies! I can’t believe I was in line right near you at Miss Babs at 8:15 at MDSW and didn’t even know it! I did meet you briefly at Rhinebeck last fall though. Loved hearing your niece talk about her experience at the festival.
